Learning the lay of the land in the health tech industry, Elias Gedamu, CEO of H3ALTH TECHNOLOGIES INC. (HT INC.) goes to the Collision Tech Conference hosted in New Orleans, LA.

Without the goal of operating a booth, Gedamu got to enjoy the conference as an attendee, but still drew some important lessons from the event.

Gedamu says, “the biggest thing that we learned is that you’ve got to really plan and be strategic… we had to get to work on who we’re going to approach probably a few weeks in advance, which talks we wanted to attend and so forth.”

Collision also provided a platform for developing companies through pitch competitions. While not directly participating, Gedamu believes the competitions were informative saying, “we learned how investors from within the Collision ecosystem would assess people that provided pitches.”

One of the highlights of the event was a talk hosted by the artist Wyclef Jean which took on the feel of a “fireside chat,” according to Gedamu.

Following Gedamu’s attendance, HT INC. now receives yearly invites to Collision Tech Conferences.

“We got our name in there, we don’t have to fight to get in anymore,” says Gedamu.
